Woman injured after being ‘hit by roadsweeper’ in Almeria

A 54-YEAR-OLD has been hospitalised after she was reportedly hit by a roadsweeping cleaning vehicle when she was attempting to cross the road.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Calle Altamira at the adjoining road with Calle Doctor Gimenez Canga-Arguelles when the woman was hit by the machine’s rollers while it was in motion as she was about to cross the street.

Witnesses report that the woman was left lying on the ground following the collision and may have lost consciousness for a few minutes.

A medical team attended her at the scene and she was taken to Torrecardenas hospital for checks, although it is not thought that she has suffered any serious injuries.
