GOING THROUGH: Yastina and Laura (inset) both made it to the next round of the contest after auditioning for the judges.

TWO child singers from Almeria have made it through to the next round of the latest series of The Voice Kids (La Voz Kids).

Yastina, from Garrucha, and Laura, a blind girl from Pulpi, are both 11 years old.

They managed to convince judges to give them a place on Rosario Flores’ team during vocal-only auditions.

Yastina was up first with her rendition of Tina Turner’s song The Best, performed for this year’s judges and coaches Antonio Orozco, Rosario Flores and Melendi.

Orozo and Flores turned around first but Yastina said she preferred Melendi. After judges told her to choose “with her heart,” she opted for Flores.

Laura came next with her version of Flores’ song Que Bonito. Both Flores and Orozco turned around to find the girl was blind.

The singer, who was blind from birth, reduced Orozco to tears during her performance.

“What happens here transcends things in so many ways and children can do no more than learn. The Voice Kids can change your life,” he said.

Both girls will now move on to the Battles phase of the contest.
