Six people hurt after fire in Almeria

FIRE: Flames rose from a house in El Ejido

SIX people have been transferred to hospital after a fire broke out at a home in El Ejido.

Emergency services were called after reports of a large house fire in Balerma in the early hours of the morning.

Firefighters were able to put the blaze out quickly but have reportedly confirmed that the tenants of the house will not be able to return to the property temporarily, while an adjoining house was also affected.

The six individuals, two men aged 94 and 56, and four women, 21, 26, 32 and 53, were subsequently transferred to Poniente Hospital with separate injuries.

One reportedly received burns to their hands, while the others were taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation.
