Almeria man arrested after injuring himself during alleged attempted robbery

GUARDIA Civil officers have arrested a man on suspicion of robbery after he allegedly fell and injured himself while attempting a robbery in Nijar.

The bizarre turn of events occurred in Nijar, when officers reportedly received a call from a man claiming that he had been injured after falling off a roof.

When Guardia Civil officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly heard voices coming from inside the building but the door was locked closed.

After managing to find the person in charge of the facilities and get inside, the man was found with several injuries to his hands and leg, unable to move.

Further investigations found that the 25-year-old had reportedly fallen from a skylight while allegedly attempting to rob the building.

He was then transferred to a hospital the where he was treated for his injuries but was arrested shortly after his release.
