A 32-YEAR-OLD Dutchman has been held under a European Arrest Warrant at Almeria Port.

National Police investigators picked up the suspect, wanted for drug trafficking and robbery, at Spanish passport control after he disembarked from a ferry originating in Nador, Morooco.

The arrest warrant was issued in August 2016, and the man has now been sent to Madrid, where he will appear in the National Court before being extradited to Belgium, where the crimes were committed.
