It was a three-cornered contest – The Vicar of Dibley vs Up Pompeii vs When We Are Married. Each prospective play was read through by the members, and after a confidential ballot the Vicar of Dibley emerged unanimously victorious.

The Luvvies are staging the play in Arboleas at the Teatro Pedro Gilabert in February, and auditions will be held on the 14th October at Maloans in Arboleas – So it’s time to get your cassocks ready!

If you feel that you would like to be involved in any way either on stage or behind the scenes, you will be made to feel very welcome. Contact [email protected] or phone 634 346 309.

In the meantime, a cheque for 300€ has been presented to President Cathy Stott by the Luvvies Chairperson, Sally Hart.

It gave the Luvvies great pleasure to donate this sum, which was money raised by the very successful production of dinnerladies. The Group are hoping and expecting another rousing success with the Vicar of Dibley, and the money raised by this production will be donated to Comic Relief.
